Totò e Daiana

Toto ‘e Daiana was born on a summer evening over dinner on a Roman terrace.  Whilst they are having their dessert Anna Elena and Marco start a conversation in  their original dialects , respectively Ferrarese  and Sicilian.

Hence the idea of telling the story of two emigrants of different ages and social backgrounds living in a city like London in a delicate moment like that of Brexit.

Totò and Daiana would never have become friends should they have not found themselves in a foreign country with that sense of loneliness that this can entail. Fans or not, expatriates or not, Totò and Daiana represent that group of  people who,  in a somewhat clumsy and funny way, seeks their place in the world. A place that could turn out to be very different from what they imagined.

In 2021 to the pilot, already a finalist at various festivals (Rome Web Fest, Sicily Web Fest, Molise Cinema, Miami Web Fest, Apulia Web Fest, Caorle Web Fest), were added 3 new episodes written and directed by Marco and Anna Elena themselves thanks to which last December Toto’ e Daiana won the Best Comedy Story at the Rome Digital Web Fest. Totò and Daiana comes to Amazon Prime Italy in April 2022.
